It's not an judgment, but a fact.  Our outlook, when left unchanged, tends to lean more to the negative.  It's not indicative of personality; it's indicative of the fact that we are all human. We inherited our cave-dwelling ancestors need to constantly be on the lookout for danger.  But, we don't live in caves anymore, so we don't need that overinflated sense of fear and dread.
